This is a great place to get a slice of pizza in Carroll Gardens! It's a casual spot with a good amount of options. The people working there are kind and patient, and there is some seating in the back. There is also a small backyard for outdoor seating when the weather is nice! We got a slice of pepperoni pizza and a slice of eggplant pizza. Both were good, but the eggplant slice in particular was incredible! I've never had anything like it. There is street parking, and the F/G subway line is nearby. Stop by if you're in the area

Pizza pretty solid. Got a pepperoni slice. It wasn't the regular pepperoni. It the cupped pepperoni. Fresh basil, fresh sauce. I think it was a Margareta Pepperoni slice. The pizza held its weight. It wasn't floppy at all. Crust cooked to perfection.

Pizza is great, We order the pepperoni garlic knots, a whole pizza pie which we got half pepperoni margarita and half chicken bacon ranch. They both were great, but our favorite is deff the margarita. If I'm ever in the neighborhood, I will deff be back.

More than 3 years ago I described Via Roma as average at best. I am a huge pizza aficionado and critical of the sum of the parts that makes a pizza outstanding. Though Via Roma isn't 5 star caliber, it ihas become my favorite pizza in my immediate neighborhood for slices. Via Roma is all around 4 star delicious pizza. Let me explain. Via Roma's sauce cannot be beat. By far it's the best: chunky, infused with basil that's integrated throughout the pie with hints of olive oil. The dough--light and airy. The cheese--if Margarita--fresh, white and just the right amount. If getting regular pizza anywhere, the cheese is the processed kind. Where Via Roma needs improvement to this day is cooking time. At times, it could be too crispy or not as crispy as I like. There's that fine, middle ground which makes a pizza perfect. But this doesn't happen frequently. The staff is super friendly and there's a lovely, homey backyard if you're feeling an Al fresco vibe. There's a gourmet store next door and you can buy beer or hard cider as a BYOB. The fou fou pizzerias that get all the press 2 blocks North and 2 blocks South (which shall remain nameless) don't cut it for me. For old school, delicious pizza, Via Roma is the best bet.

This is NY pizza the way it's supposed to be. The pies are big, the crust is thin, the bites are crisp...the way it should be. The specialty slices are on point, the delivery is fast, and the guys are friendly. Basically, this is the slice joint I wish I had on my corner. As it is, it's on my buddy's corner, and I'm considering moving down here just to be able to eat it on a regular basis. It's perfect to grab a quick slice before another meal if you're hangry, for a full lunch of a couple slices, or to order a few pies to eat on a stoop while you celebrate the precipitous fall of a clown who should never have been elected in the first place. Personally, I'm not as big a fan of their Sicilian slices the way I am of the regular pies, but they'll hit the spot if you're seriously in the mood. They've also got some pepperoni garlic knots that I get down with. In a neighborhood with tons of pizza, tons of Italian food, Via Roma is doing it right.
